Find a Notary
"That which ordinary men are fit for, I am qualified in and the best of me is diligence." - William Shakespeare

I have been a mobile notary since 1999. The occaisional request to act as a loan signing for out of area lenders and title companies evoloved into a business as the practice became more common.
It was uncharted territory. Because I recognized the importance and sensitivity of what I was doing, I took the initiative to educate myself on all aspects of notary law and requirements as well as loan signing requirements. This includes additional certifications, bonding and insurance, and a 7 yr back ground check. I founded, and am the Administrator of, the Wisconsin Mobile Loan Closers Network to be able to refer my clients to experienced, concientious notaries in other parts of the State and for a peer presense in my work.

On The Road

I have met clients in all sorts of locations including a garage at a bachelor party, hospitals, nursing homes, churches, hunting cabins, attorneys offices, jails, car hoods, cafes and truck stops. I have had pets laying at and usually on my feet under the table and those pets range from Labradors to ducks. On occasion there is a child under the table. I've driven through blizzards plowing snow with my bumper and stopped to enjoy a summer sunset. I deal with detours, road construction and cracked windshields.
What Is Required For A Notarization To Occur

1. Know and understand what you are signing. I cannot draw up legal documents, explain their meaning or give you an opinion of them.

2. You must appear before me and sign the document.

3. Have a current, valid identification. Preferably government issued. I must be satisifed that you are the person you say you are and the name on the ID must match that on the document. In the case of loan documents, it must be a photo ID and government issued. I will ask you to sign my journal.

4. After I have identified you, I may ask a few questions. This is to determine that you understand the purpose of the document.

4. After you have signed the document, I will fill in the notarial certificate and apply my seal.
